Today we went on a field trip to the.....

Wisconsin dells The waterpark capitol of the world!!! Except we didn't do the waterparks instead we did . The

H.H Bennet photography museum. This man was absolutely amazing and some of the photography equipment he developed is in the smithsonian institute.

It was so amazing that this man started everything with his camera and now it's this huge tourist attraction and it's so close to home!!

All of the following pictures are taken by one of my 4th grade students.

The first picture was an example of what many pics were :) but the rest are good!

Some of H.H. Bennet's office

It was a wonderful weekend. Super busy and FUN!!

here is the recap:

Saturday: Go to in laws to pick up camping equipment at 10:30 went to pick up ATV's at 2 different locations and got to campsite around 1:00 a.m. Setup tent at 1:30 a.m. and sat around the campfire trying to warm up.

Sunday: Woke up around 8:30 . Had a yummy breakfast of eggs and bacon.

headed off to go four wheeling with hubby, sis-in-law, and a friend. We were fourwheeling for roughly 6ish hours. I had never been on a trail with a fourwheeler before and was very skeptical but it was a TON of FUN!! I wish I had taken a camera because we had alot of fun in some mud pits. I don't usually like that kind of thing so I was extremely suprised with how much fun I had.

We went back to the campsite and a few drinks and sat around the campfire!!

Monday we packed up and washed downt he atv's and headed home.

We got back home around 8 ish.

On Tuesday, I headed to work like normal. Got off work around 3:30 and headed to a freelance job. I then was a crazy awesome sister and drove 1.5 hours to see my brother graduate from 8th grade!! I know crazy awesome right!!

I got home around 11 p.m. and crashed immediately!

I woke up this morning and I had a review from my job. It went wonderful so YEAH for that!

I don't have many food pics but I did have some yummy eats over the weekend although not all that healthy!

Here is what I have. I was not a good blogger so sorry!

Yummy panini!
I ate it on the way to the brothers graduation!
Yummy snack this afternoon!

Have a great day!!!

I woke up this morning at 6:00! Are you kidding me!! I can't even sleep in on the weekend!!
Since I was up so early I decided to make pancakes. Here they are with some fruit salad and some syrup!

For snack/lunch. I have been snacking all day. I had an apple and strawberries with some Almond butter.

So delicious. I totally stole this idea from Polly. Love her site, She lifts me up and you get to see good eats and yoga too. It doesn't get better than that!

I also worked out for the 1st time in what seems like forever it felt sooooo good!
I did level 2 of 30 day shred . It kicked my butt.
duration: 25 minutes.
In zone: 21 minutes.
max:166
Kcal:209
I downloaded some 20 minute yoga from yogadownload.
I also downloaded some of Jillian Michael's podcasts. They are an awesome thing to listen to on long car rides. Since we have 4 hours to my in-laws and 4 hours back!
I'm off for some packing and have a great looooong weekend! I will see you on tuesday!!

TGIF!!!!

on Friday, May 22, 2009

I got up early this morning. Insted of working out, I sat down and started on my midterm. I am absolutely determined to get this done before leaving tomorrow for camping!!

We had a rather interesting assembly at school today and afterwards a few of us staff members decided we would go hang out at one of our coworkers houses to start off the weekend right. I had a blast !

I had a snack attack after work. I opened up a new jar of almond butter!!

Ezekiel bread with almond butter and a bannana and the other with plain butter! YUMMO!!

Do you reconize this canister. Two days ago it was filled with watermellon. It is already gone!! Can you believe it the hubs and I ate through an entire watermellon in 2 days!! EEK! It sure was yummy!

I am going to snack on this while continuing to work on my motivation class midterm!!

I am off but will be back tomorrow before I head up to the in-laws for camping this weekend. Hope you all have a wonderful friday!

I was also looking at another website that is giving away blog makeovers!!! Wouldn't that be awesome!! you should check it out!! they have some awesome recipes and tips as well!!

See you tomorrow! I'm off to my midterm!!

exhausted..

on Thursday, May 21, 2009

I woke up this morning to see a 10 page midterm sitting in my in box!! yeah, for lots of work! URG!!

However, I jumped out of bed and got my cold lunch ready because I knew it would be a fun day. Today, the entire class I work with went on a field trip to the capitol. We had roughly 80 people. It was a blast. The kids were well behaved, the tour guides were interesting and we got to enjoy the BEAUTIFUL day outside. Here are some fun pics to show you my day. One of my students captured my camera so these are from the view of a student :)

I do think Wisconisin has one of the most beautiful capitols. It is just breathtaking at night from over one of the lakes!
A flower bed dedicated to those that have served!

This is lady wisconsin who sits on top of the capitol she is pointing " forward" to Washington D.C.

Another view of the monument and the capitol. you can see lady wisconsin on top of the capitol!

No pics for the eats today.
I had some yummy stuff though:

Brekkie
*my usual oats with a little bigger portion since we were on the trip and no snack!

Lunch
* almond butter and jelly on ezekiel cinnimon raisin bread
*pear
*watermellon
*yogurt covered pretzels

snack
*2 HUGE bowls of watermellon ( the watermellon I bought yesterday is 3/4 gone already! HOLY COW!!)

Dinner
*ravioli with alfredo sauce
*cheese, salami, and crackers!!

Yeah for a wonderful day out in the sun!! The kiddos wore me out today so I will be hitting the sack early tonight!!

One last thing: Angela is having a giveaway! Go over and check it out! She also had some great discussion yesterday that you may want to check out as well!

Have a great night all!!

Is it summer yet??

on Wednesday, May 20, 2009

I think we skipped spring and went directly into summer this year. It was 88 degrees in good old Wisconsin today. 88 degrees, that is hot, even for cold blooded me. I love this weather. However, my hubby does not. He wants to turn on the AC which I HATE!! I HATE it with a passion actually. I DO understand the need for AC during some of the really hot days but we just got over winter can't we enjoy the warm weather a little before you turn my apartment into a freezer again. Why oh why did I marry a warm blooded man?!?

o.k. I digress.

This morning I tried something new with my oats. I added some chocolate pb. My local grocery store grinds their own peanut butter straight from the peanuts ( ha, you didn't know that was where peanut butter came from did you? I'm a smart one I tell ya :) Well, they added some chocolate to a batch and it is delicious. So I have seen some of my other blogger peeps add some to their oatmeal.

The verdict: It was disgusting!!! I guess it's just not for me. I choked down some of it since I was eating it on the way to work and that's all I had to eat for breakfast. Needless to say, I found it rather nasty and did not finish it all. Thefore I had a larger snack! Pic of the choc. peanut butter below. However, this is really good on right off the spoon. SO I will have to try to eat it on some ezekial bread at a later date :)

After work, I went to the grocery ( I should really only do this once a week because I spend WAAAAAY to much money!!) This is the loot. It all looked so yummy!!

* watermellon
*celery
*bananas
*3 pears
*3 apples
*muskmellon
* strawberries

The dry goods included( well kinda):
* sunflower seeds
*clif bars
*rasberry vinigrette
* some choc. pudding
* yougurt covered pretzels
*dried fruit
* sour cream
* cheez it's ( for a recipe)

I tend to let things go to waste if I don't prepare it right away. I know it's really bad. So i chopped everything up right away. I realized that in my fruit salad I forgot to add the strawberries. I didn't remember until I was typing this post and saw the picture. I will have to add them later. I am so excited about the watermellon that I didn't want to add it all into the fruit salad. hence, the large container and small container of watermellon ( the small container has some muskmellon as well)

This was Dinner. I steamed some broccoli and cauliflower. The cheez-its and sourcream were for the chicken on the plate. I covered the chicken with sourcream and then dipped them in crushed cheez-it's. They were very yummy!!

I also had a side of fruit salad. I ate so much and am Stuffed!!!!

I will be set for a while.

Today I was reading Caitlin's blog today and she was talking about fat talk. I do struggle with this and am really trying to fight this. Her post truly talked to me today!! So for the challenge. Things I love about my body

* I love that it get's me through my crazy schedule everyday
* I love my curves
* I think I have great shoulders
